Basketball Recap: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Grafton Clippers
Great Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 65-56 to the Grafton Clippers.
Grafton had a senior duo take command as Jakobe Brownlee posted 21 points and Chase Santiago earned 15 points. Those 15 points gave Santiago a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Brown, who put up six points.
Great Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Grafton, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8.
Great Bridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-39 defeat against Indian River on the 4th. As for Grafton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-59 loss against New Kent on the 5th.
