Preview: Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars vs. Southern Wells Raiders
The Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars on the road again on Friday and play against the Southern Wells Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lakeland Christian Academy was beaten by Lakewood Park Christian 68-26. While losing is never fun, Lakeland Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while Lakewood Park Christian is ranked 155th).
Despite the defeat, Lakeland Christian Academy got a solid performance out of Katie Reimink, who scored 14 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Dayton Sibert, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Southern Wells lost to Southwood on the road by a decisive 54-36 margin on Saturday. Southern Wells has struggled against Southwood recently, as their match on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Lakeland Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Southern Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
Lakeland Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 42-21 defeat they got from Southern Wells in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Lakeland Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
