Preview: Northwest Rankin Cougars vs. Callaway Chargers
After four games on the road, Northwest Rankin is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Callaway Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Northwest Rankin came up short against Meridian and fell 52-44.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Callaway had to settle for a 57-54 loss against Germantown on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Callaway in their matchups with Germantown: they've now lost six in a row.
Northwest Rankin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Callaway, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.
Northwest Rankin came out on top in a nail-biter against Callaway in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, sneaking past 62-60. Will Northwest Rankin repeat their success, or does Callaway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
