Recap: St. Frances Academy Panthers vs. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars
The St. Frances Academy Panthers came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Our Lady of Mount Carmel at home to the tune of 77-36. Considering St. Frances Academy has won four matches by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
St. Frances Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zoe Osby out in front who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Osby's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mone't Edwards, who scored 17 points along with six assists.
St. Frances Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, they bumped their record down to 7-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
St. Frances Academy will take on Friends' Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Potomac Senior at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th.
