Football Recap: Charles City Falls to Lancaster in First Game of Season

Charles City had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Lancaster Red Devils by a score of 2-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Charles City will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northumberland at 7:00 p.m. on September 12. As for Lancaster, they will welcome Surry County at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
