Northwest Whitfield took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Coahulla Creek Colts as they made off with a 35-13 victory. The Bruins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colts, too.

Gavin Nuckolls went supernova, throwing for 126 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 75 yards on only six carries.

Although Coahulla Creek took the loss, they still got scores from Waelyn Baliles and Maddox Jackson.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Whitfield will challenge North Murray at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Coahulla Creek, they will face off against Chattooga at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
