Seminole has gone 8-0 against Lakewood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Seminole Warhawks will square off against the Lakewood Spartans at 8:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Seminole is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against East Lake on Thursday. Seminole fell just short of East Lake by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Eagles are ranked 144th).

Meanwhile, Lakewood came into Wednesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They and Gibbs finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Spartans have been dealt a draw since back in November of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Seminole and nudges their season record down to 4-8. With that draw, Lakewood's record moves to 1-10-2.

Everything went Seminole's way against Lakewood in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, as Seminole made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seminole since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
