Soccer Recap: Gaffney Takes a Loss

Gaffney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the James F. Byrnes Rebels. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Gaffney were already down 7-1.

Sam Benson and Hayleigh Winkler scored both of Gaffney's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Gaffney's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for James F. Byrnes, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Gaffney didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 10-4 defeat against Boiling Springs on the 17th. As for James F. Byrnes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Dorman on the 18th.
