Softball Recap: Presentation Takes a Loss

Presentation fell victim to San Mateo and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bearcats, falling 7-0. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 9-8 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in May of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Presentation saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Malatesta, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Presentation has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. San Mateo is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Presentation will take on Archbishop Mitty at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Archbishop Mitty will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Presentation surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Mateo, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Aragon at 4:00 p.m. on April 8. San Mateo's pitchers better be ready for this one: Aragon has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
