Softball Recap: Cherokee County Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cherokee County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sylvania, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Cherokee County never let Sylvania get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Cherokee County, bringing their record up to 14-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sylvania, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Cherokee County will be playing at home against Etowah at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st. The matchup will give Cherokee County their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Sylvania, they will be taking part in a tournament against Oneonta at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
