Softball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview and Broomfield squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Grandview had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Broomfield Eagles by a score of 5-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 5-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Grandview saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Heinrich, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Grandview's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Broomfield, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 27-0.

Grandview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Broomfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against Riverdale Ridge on the 26th.
