While Saint Viator's victory against Deerfield wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions won by a run and slipped past the Warriors 3-2. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Allister Kanyuh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Saint Viator's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Jackson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI. Alec Harer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Saint Viator's win bumped their record up to 19-17. As for Deerfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-21 record this season.
