Hempstead entered their tilt with Kennedy on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hempstead's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Hempstead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Galena on the 27th. As for Kennedy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Iowa City West on the 30th.
