Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson County Central). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Mead Raiders 63-12. The victory was nothing new for the Thunderbirds as they're now sitting on six straight.

Johnson County Central is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points per game. As for Mead, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds take on the Freeman Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mead, they will be taking part in a tournament against Falls City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
