Baseball Recap: Fordyce Takes a Loss

Fordyce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 12-9 to the Poyen Indians. The Redbugs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Fordyce's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Poyen, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-8 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fordyce will host Gurdon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Poyen, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Woodlawn at 4:30 p.m. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
