Delta faced Cook Inlet Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Huskies' defense stepped up to hand the Eagles an 8-0 shutout. Considering Delta have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Cook Inlet Academy from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal.

Delta's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Cook Inlet Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Delta wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 win against Nenana on the 10th. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Rosary Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th.
