Basketball Game Preview: Purcell Marian Cavaliers vs. Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks

Having just played yesterday, the Purcell Marian Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Purcell Marian was fully in charge, breezing past Norwood 74-29. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cincinnati Country Day). They came out on top against St. Bernard-Elmwood Place by a score of 68-59 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Nighthawks as they're now sitting on three straight.

The win got Purcell Marian back to even at 10-10. As for Cincinnati Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Purcell Marian was able to grind out a solid win over Cincinnati Country Day in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, winning 47-37. Does Purcell Marian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cincinnati Country Day turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
