Basketball Recap: Forest Starts off Right with Win over Trenton

Forest took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Trenton Tigers 68-65.

Trenton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mason VunCannon, who went 7-for-13 to rack up 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Ridgell, who shot 71% from the field en route to 17 points.

Forest has already played their next matchup, a 79-39 victory against West Port on the 21st. As for Trenton, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Columbia at 2:30 p.m. on the 29th.
