Football Recap: Jeff Davis Yellowjackets vs. Rutland Hurricanes

Jeff Davis won the last time they faced Rutland, and things went their way on Friday too. The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rutland Hurricanes 44-12 on the road. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Colby Beach had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes. His longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Kyrice Hunt was in the mix as well, providing Jeff Davis with two rushing touchdowns touchdowns.

Jeff Davis wouldn't let Rutland keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Josh Worthington, Kobe Hill, and Kace Galbreath picked up one apiece.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. All came courtesy of Fabian Valdelamar: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 3-for-3 again kicking extra points for an additional three.

Jeff Davis' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rutland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
