Softball Recap: Hamburg Takes a Loss

Hamburg lost against Starpoint back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 7-5. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mackayla Musty was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabella Caparco, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Hamburg now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Starpoint, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Hamburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Starpoint, they will challenge Sweet Home at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
