Basketball Recap: Temple Baptist Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Temple Baptist entered their game against The Master's Academy on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Temple Baptist Eagles took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Master's Academy Lions. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in January of 2020.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Wallace, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Lanning, who put up eight points.

Temple Baptist's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4. As for The Master's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Temple Baptist won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lake Lure Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Lure Classical Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season. As for The Master's Academy, they will take on Pinnacle Classical Academy on Friday.
