Arkport Central/Canaseraga had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Wheatland-Chili Wildcats 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arkport Central/Canaseraga will square off against Jasper-Troupsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheatland-Chili, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Webber at 7:00 p.m. on September 10. The matchup will give Wheatland-Chili their first taste of in-conference action this season.
