Volleyball Recap: Maricopa's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Maricopa suffered their biggest defeat since October 16, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mesquite Wildcats, falling 3-0. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 25-16.

Leading Mesquite to victory were Deliliah Nielsen and Olivia Isaula. Nielsen had four digs and two aces, while Isaula had five digs and one assist.

Having lost for the first time this season, Maricopa fell to 4-1. As for Mesquite, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Maricopa will take on Canyon del Oro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mesquite, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Eastmark on the 11th.
