Softball Game Preview: Woodstock Blue Streaks vs. Round Lake Panthers

For the second straight game, Woodstock will face off against Round Lake. The Blue Streaks will host the Panthers at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Woodstock's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Round Lake. The win continues a trend for the Blue Streaks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

For Round Lake's part, Piper Berry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. Berry has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Woodstock's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-18.
