Basketball Game Preview: Onaga Buffaloes vs. Frankfort Wildcats

Onaga is 1-9 against Frankfort since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Onaga Buffaloes are taking a road trip to square off against the Frankfort Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Onaga is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 55-23 defeat at the hands of Valley Heights. The game was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Buffaloes couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Onaga had strong showings from Jackson Kolterman, who posted 13 points, and Casen Hutfles, who put up six points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave Hutfles a new career-high.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Frankfort, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They snuck past Linn with a 50-45 win on Friday.

Onaga's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Frankfort, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Onaga might still be hurting after the 54-34 loss they got from Frankfort when the teams last played on February 4th. Can Onaga avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
