Baseball Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short

Skyview extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-10. They lost 9-0 to the Bozeman Hawks. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.

As for Bozeman, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6. That nine-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Bozeman's part, the result came thanks to Caiden Pershing's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. Pershing has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Van Shockley, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Bozeman's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Everett Norick, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
