Baseball Game Preview: Christ the King Royals vs. Bishop Loughlin Lions

The Christ the King Royals will head out on the road to take on the Bishop Loughlin Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bishop Loughlin will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Christ the King extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Royals were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over Cathedral Prep. Fans of the Royals have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, Bishop Loughlin made easy work of Nazareth on Thursday and carried off a 12-1 victory.

Bishop Loughlin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Christ the King, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything went Christ the King's way against Bishop Loughlin in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, as Christ the King made off with a 9-1 win. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
