Soccer Game Preview: Windsor vs. Ukiah

The Windsor Jaguars will challenge the Ukiah Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Windsor is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Montgomery on Tuesday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. Windsor's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ukiah challenged Cardinal Newman on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Ukiah's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Cardinal Newman are ranked 591st).

Rios Munoz and Adrian Vasquez scored all three of Ukiah's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Ukiah has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those eight contests. As for Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2-5.
