Basketball Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

Independence was the 40-34 winner over Freedom when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Independence received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 62-47 to the Freedom Eagles. Independence's loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Freedom, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Independence won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lightridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence is facing Lightridge at the right time seeing as Lightridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Freedom has already played their next contest (against Unity Reed), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
