Basketball Game Preview: Chapel Hill Panthers vs. East Coweta Indians

The Chapel Hill Panthers will square off against the East Coweta Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Chapel Hill didn't have too much trouble with Carrollton as they won 64-45. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Trojans are ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Coweta, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past Douglas County 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since November 28, 2023.

Chapel Hill better keep an eye on Qwes Williams. He was instrumental in East Coweta's win, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Rife, who posted 11 points and four steals.

East Coweta has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Chapel Hill, their win bumped their record up to an identical 15-7.

Chapel Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over East Coweta when the teams last played on January 14th, winning 71-64. Will Chapel Hill repeat their success, or does East Coweta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
