Soccer Game Preview: Dreher vs. York

Dreher is on a three-game streak of home wins, while York is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Dreher will welcome York at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dreher headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but South Pointe let them put that streak behind them. Dreher put the hurt on South Pointe with a sharp 4-1 victory on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for Dreher as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

They hit South Pointe with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sawyer Pringle (2), Simon Quinatoa, and Noah McCarn.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but York ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out York Prep 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Dreher's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for York, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.
