Volleyball Recap: Columbus Blue Devils vs. Dalton Catamounts
Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dalton Catamounts. The match marked the first time this year in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.
Keira Parsons paced Columbus' offense, picking up five kills. Parsons got some help from Emma Cicora and her 12 assists. Katie Sheer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Dalton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrea Hernandez out in front who had 11 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Hernandez has posted since back in October of 2024. Ellis Robertson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.
Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Dalton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Columbus has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Druid Hills on the 16th. As for Dalton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Walker on the 16th.
