West Grand is 8-2 against De Beque since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mustangs will take on the Dragons at 1:00 p.m. De Beque took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on West Grand, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, West Grand turned things around against Soroco last Friday. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 3-1.

West Grand got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 30-32, 25-23.

Meanwhile, De Beque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against Caprock Academy, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-15.

De Beque's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for West Grand, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

West Grand beat De Beque 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
