Academy at Palumbo had won four straight games and Lilly Abbott did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Griffin were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Central Lancers for which the team can thank Abbott, who had 11 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

While Academy at Palumbo might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Central scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 27-25.

Academy at Palumbo's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-3.

Academy at Palumbo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Lower Merion on the 17th. As for Central, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against South Philadelphia on the 22nd.
