After losing to Scott City the last time they met, Meadow Heights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Rams on Thursday.

Meadow Heights had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-19.

Kenna Thele paced Meadow Heights' offense, picking up 21 kills. Thele got some help from Maci Long and her 34 assists. Lyndi Green and Rylann Yamnitz kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Despite the loss, Scott City saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brionna Woodside had eight digs. Woodside also put up an ace, which was her first of the season.

Meadow Heights' victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Scott City, they dropped their record down to 10-19-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Meadow Heights has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against St. Paul Lutheran on the 17th. As for Scott City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Saxony Lutheran on the 16th.
