The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. This Friday Lincoln Christian takes on Sequoyah in the first playoff game of the year. Lincoln Christian has been tearing up the endzone with big points in its last four contests.
Everything went its way against Muldrow last week as it secured a 56 - 15 win. Senior running back Reed Martin was especially active in the win, finding the endzone an impressive five times. Martin has been a consistent playmaker for Lincoln Christian as this was the 11th good game in a row from him.
As for Sequoyah, it won a game last week that couldn't get any closer, slipping by Beggs 49 - 48. Sequoyah and Beggs were a much more even match than Sequoyah's previous opponent, giving the fans a heck of a game.
Their wins bumped Sequoyah to 8-3 and Lincoln Christian to 9-2. While both teams are coming off of wins, only one will triumph this week. We'll find out soon enough who that will be.
