Recap: Del Norte Nighthawks vs. Birmingham Patriots
The Del Norte Nighthawks and the Birmingham Patriots squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Del Norte Nighthawks had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 30-28. Del Norte's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Although Del Norte took the loss, they still got scores from Anthony Mattar, Tyler Becker, and Ty Olsen.
Kingston Tisdell looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 225 yards and four touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Dredon Fowles, who rushed for 148 yards.
Del Norte's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Birmingham, the last time they lost on the road was back back in September. Having now won four straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 12-2.
Del Norte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Birmingham will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Acalanes at 11:30 a.m. on December 9th. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Acalanes: 14.2, Birmingham: 12.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
