Preview: Pocomoke Warriors vs. Wicomico Indians

Pocomoke is 1-9 against the Indians since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Pocomoke Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Wicomico Indians at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maryland (Pocomoke is ranked 177th, while the Indians are ranked 180th).

Pocomoke struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Seahawks had 14 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Pocomoke was dealt a 88-48 defeat at the hands of the Seahawks. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pocomoke in their matchups with the Seahawks: they've now lost six in a row.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jamir Roberts and Davin Chandler. Chandler had a great game and dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Roberts did his best for the losing side, scoring 20 points.

Meanwhile, Wicomico can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They beat Crisfield by the very same score they won with last week: 71-51. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wicomico.

Pocomoke's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7. As for Wicomico, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Pocomoke didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Indians when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 71-66 win. Will Pocomoke repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
