Basketball Game Preview: Damonte Ranch Mustangs vs. Fernley Vaqueros

The Damonte Ranch Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Fernley Vaqueros at 6:00 p.m. Damonte Ranch has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while Fernley will come in with three straight wins.

Damonte Ranch is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 58-51 to Buchanan on Saturday.

Despite their loss, Damonte Ranch saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mya Ghisletta, who went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points and five boards, was perhaps the best of all. Ghisletta is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmine Monges, who posted ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Fernley was able to grind out a solid victory over Galena on Saturday, taking the game 54-43.

Fernley's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Damonte Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
