Basketball Recap: CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] had won two straight games and De'Mya Barrett did her part to make it three on Thursday. The CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] Eagles skirted past the Capital Prep Trailblazers 34-32 thanks in part to Barrett, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Barrett is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least five every time she's taken the court this season.

CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy]'s win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points per game. As for Capital Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] will square off against Stafford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy]'s defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Stafford's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Capital Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off.
