Softball Recap: Owosso Victorious

Owosso won the last time they faced New Lothrop and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 5-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Hailie Caswell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Danica Dwyer, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Charlie Etchison, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Owosso's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for New Lothrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Owosso will be playing at home against Brandon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for New Lothrop, they are taking a road trip to square off against Hill-McCloy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
