Softball Recap: Aptos Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Aptos came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Harbor Pirates as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mariners, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sofia Marin was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Marin was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Aptos got a massive performance out of Nova Neu, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Kaitlyn Clark also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Aptos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.

Aptos' record is now 14-4. As for Harbor, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, Aptos and Harbor will both be playing Soquel the next time they take the field. The Mariners will host the Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
