Soccer Recap: Magnolia's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Magnolia couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Wylie East Raiders by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Considering the last time Magnolia couldn't score was back in January, the team can't take the result too hard.

Magnolia moved to 17-3-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Wylie East, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2-1 record this season.

Magnolia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wylie East, they will take on Forney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forney will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something Wylie East surely won't give up without a fight.
