Basketball Recap: East Hill Christian Takes a Loss

East Hill Christian played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 69-45 to Varsity Opponent.

Despite the loss, East Hill Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hudson Hooten almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. That was a full 42.2% of East Hill Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Austin Lockard, who almost dropped a double-double on nine rebounds and ten blocks.

East Hill Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

East Hill Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-50 victory against Atmore Christian on the 10th. As for Varsity Opponent, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-14 loss against Somerset Sky Pointe on the 9th.
