Soccer Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-1 to the Granville Blue Aces. While losing is never fun, Mt. Vernon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Granville are ranked 168th).

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Granville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will venture away from home to face off against Buckeye Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Granville, they will head out to square off against Lexington at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
