Volleyball Recap: Taytum Moeller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bandera over Davenport

Bandera was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Davenport Wolves. If the BULLDOGS were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wolves when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-14.

Bandera's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taytum Moeller, who had 14 digs and one assist. Moeller has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Moore, who had six kills, six digs, and one block.

Bandera's loss dropped their record down to 13-21. As for Davenport, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 27-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bandera is set to challenge their familiar foe Fredericksburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Davenport will face off against rival Wimberley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
