Recap: Falcon Christian Academy Warriors vs. Father Capodanno Grunts
The Falcon Christian Academy Warriors put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Father Capodanno 75-42 on the road. Falcon Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 33 points or more this season.
Falcon Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JJ Ross, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ross has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan McMillian, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Several Grunts players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Attar, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Attar continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Braedon Hudson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Father Capodanno struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Falcon Christian Academy racked up 19 assists.
Falcon Christian Academy's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for Father Capodanno, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Falcon Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Spirit of Life Christian Academy at 4:15 p.m. on January 18th. Spirit of Life Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Father Capodanno, Father Capodanno and St. Thomas More Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
