Volleyball Recap: Burlington Comes Up Short

Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Lynn Classical Rams.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-21, 25-27, 25-20.

Emmanuel Mendoza paced Burlington's offense, picking up nine kills. Mendoza got some help from Ashneel Ejenkar and his 13 assists.

Long Pham was nothing short of spectacular for Lynn Classical: he had 21 digs and three aces. Pham has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times he's played.

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Lynn Classical, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Burlington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Framingham on the 22nd. As for Lynn Classical, they will square off against Revere at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
