Recap: Maplesville Red Devils vs. Loachapoka Indians
After flying high against the Verbena Red Devils last Monday, the Maplesville Red Devils came back down to earth. Maplesville fell 55-47 to Loachapoka on Tuesday. Maplesville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Loachapoka apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Maplesville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nehemiah McCary, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Wilson, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Maplesville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Loachapoka, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Verbena the next time they take the court. Loachapoka will host Verbena at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Maplesville will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
