Volleyball Recap: Lake Howell Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It's playoff time, and Lake Howell had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Innovation Bulls on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Silverhawks as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Lake Howell was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-19, 25-17.

Sawyer Knight paced Lake Howell's offense, picking up seven kills. Knight got some help from Fischer Baggett and his 12 assists. Baggett was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Innovation saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Santiago Perez had four digs and four aces.

Lake Howell pushed their record up to 25-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Innovation, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.

Coming up, Lake Howell will challenge Lake Buena Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vipers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Silverhawks surely won't give up without a fight. Innovation does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
